    March 6 @ 11 am - The True Story of Puss'n Boots

    (Canadian premiere)

This is a free adaptation of Charles Perrault’s tale Le Chat botté by directors Pascal Hérold, Jérôme Deschamps and Mach Makeieff who inject fantasy and modernism into the story.

Once upon a time when the miller passed away he left everything he owned to his three sons: a donkey, a mill and a cat. P’tit Pierre, the youngest son, inherited the cat... This cat could talk so he asked for a pair of leather boots that could enable him to walk long distances and a bag.

The kingdom was ruled by a sleepy king and a quirky Queen. They decided it was time to marry their daughter the Princess, but the Princess would only consider a suitor who shared the same passion as hers for singing and dancing. The evil Chamberlain, hungry for power, was in charge of finding the right husband. In fact he was plotting to marry the Princess with the help of his servant the hunchback. But this was without counting on the magic cat knowing that P’tit Pierre was madly in love with the Princess.

Through many tricks the cat succeeded in defeating a voracious ogre, taking his castle over, getting rid of the Chamberlain and naming P’tit Pierre le Marquis de Carabas.
